I am at my sister’s house at the moment, because my brother-in-law does pretty photo-y things, and I was in need of both headshots (for upcoming audition things) and Senior photos, because tradition!
We have only done Senior photos as of this moment, because there is only so much time in a day. Headshots are upon the morrow. But we got some very nice pictures today.
I’m quite pleased with myself because when I was thinking about taking these pictures, I thought to myself, “You know, it would be really cool if I could take some pictures in a theater.”
And I was like, “Well, I mean, why couldn’t I take some pictures in a theater?”
So I found several theaters around where my sister and her family live, looked at pictures they had on their websites (scoping out if their stage/curtain had the right look) and emailed the one that most suited my fancy.
I said, to paraphrase, “Hey, I’m a Senior and I really love theater, so would you be open to letting me take some photos in your theater? I’ll be quick.”
And they said, to paraphrase, “That’s cool! I mean, I don’t see why not.”
So, we have pictures in a theater, and pictures in nature. And I am satisfied.
(I hit my head on a birch tree, because I am not a model-y pose-y person. And also, what I need in my life are more head contusions. It’s me; are we really surprised at this point?)
Perhaps I shall post some of them upon this place at a later date. I don’t know. Is that something we want? Let me know.
In other news, I have everything except my protagonist’s name sorted out. So, if I can get her to stop rejecting names, we can get a second draft going here very soon.
These are things that are happening.
